This video is about the Rain Bird 3504 PC Rotor. The 3504 series are short to mid-range rotors. We’re going to discuss a few of the features and show you how to change out a nozzle and make some adjustments. I’m your Sprinkler Warehouse product specialist, let’s get started.
Adjustable Arc For Maximum Irrigation Benefits Rain Bird 3504-PC
Here I have the 3504-PC Adjustable Arc Rotor. The PC stands for partial circle, which means you can adjust the arc. It’s adjustable from 40 to 360 degrees. The riser on this rotor pops up four inches. It has a watering distance of 15 to 35 feet depending on the nozzle installed and how the adjustment screw is set. The rotor comes with this set of nozzles. The 3504 rotors have a half-inch inlet rather than the three-quarter-inch inlet like on the 5000 series.
Let’s talk about the various adjustments. This is the radius adjustment slot, where you change the watering distance. Use a flathead screwdriver to make that adjustment. This is the pull-up slot. Use the little tool on the nozzle tree or a rain bird rotor tool to pull up the riser. This is the arc Adjustment Slot where you change the pattern. You can use a flat head screwdriver for that. Let’s go look at a 3504 that we’ve installed out in the field.
How To Change Out A Nozzle
Here’s how to change out a nozzle. Insert a Rain Bird tool or the tool on the nozzle tree into the pull-up slot. Turn and lift up. While holding the riser up with one hand, back out the radius adjustment screw. You can pry out the nozzle with a flat head screwdriver or pull it out with needle-nose pliers. Choose the appropriate nozzle from the nozzle tree. Insert the new nozzle. And screw back down the radius adjustment screw.
Turn the water on to your sprinkler system. Use the radius adjustment screw to set the watering distance. You want the spray from this rotor to reach the next rotor over. Now we’ll set the arc. I’m rotating the turret back and forth to take a look at the arc. To increase the arc insert a small flathead screwdriver into the Arc adjustment slot. Turn clockwise to increase your arc or counterclockwise to decrease. And that is the 3504-PC Rotor by Rain Bird. Order some 3504s today on Sprinkler Warehouse dot com.
