When Would I Connect Blu-Lock Pipe To Poly Tubing?
There are a lot of fantastic reasons to use Blu-Lock pipe, but sometimes you’ve got an existing system that already uses poly tubing. Maybe you decided to add some dripline to your Blu-lock pipe. Here are a few little Blu-Lock adapters that’ll get you where you need to be. Here’s an adapter that’ll take you from three-quarter inch poly to half-inch Blu-Lock pipe. Just wiggle on the poly. Sometimes if it’s a bit tough you can dip your poly in warm water to soften it up.
How To Add A Clamp Over Poly Tube
I have here some worm gear clamps. Or you can use a crimp clamp like this. If you do use a crimp clamp you’ll need a special tool. I wouldn’t bother with crimp clamps if you only need to do a few fittings. But if you’re doing a bunch you’ll be able to move along faster. Remember on crimp clamps, you have to put them on before you wiggle on the poly.
Now slide on the Blu-Lock Pipe. And you’re good to go. This also comes in a half-inch tee. These blue lock fittings are reusable. You can remove the Blu-Lock pipe by pressing on the tabs. We also have an adapter that will connect half-inch Blu-Lock to 3/8 inch poly.
