In this video, we’re going to discuss a few of the features of the K-Rain ProPlus Non-Potable Rotor and show you how to change out a nozzle and make some adjustments. I’m your Sprinkler Warehouse product specialist, let’s get started.

Non-Potable Option

This is the K-Rain 11003 ProPlus Non-Potable Rotor with a purple indicator cap and collar to signify that this rotor is supplied by reclaimed water. In short, reclaimed water is water that isn’t suitable for human consumption. This rotor has a pop-up height of 5 inches and it has a 3/4 inch inlet.

Easy To Use Adjustable Arc

The ProPlus is both an adjustable pattern rotor and a continuous 360-degree rotor in one. You can set the pattern anywhere from 40 degrees to 360 degrees. When you set it to 360 it goes around in a continuous circle.

The way you set the pattern on this is incredibly cool all you need is this key or a flat-head screwdriver just point this arrow here to the pattern width that you need. Completely straightforward with no guessing.

Featuring The Arc Memory Clutch

The ProPlus has an Arc Memory Clutch, which prevents internal gear damage and returns the rotor to its prior setting automatically if the nozzle turret is forced out of adjustment. It has a watering distance of 22 to 50 feet depending on the nozzle installed and how the adjustment screw is set. Additionally, this rotor comes with its own set of nozzles.

Let’s talk about the various adjustments. Looking at the top of the rotor this is where you access the nozzle retention screw. Use the K-Rain key or a small flathead screwdriver to adjust the watering distance. This is the lifting keyhole; use the K-Rain key to pull up the riser. This is where you can find the arc adjustment slot. Use the K-Rain Key or a small flathead screwdriver to change the pattern. Let’s go out in the field and make some adjustments.

The ProPlus With Check Valve

The K-Rain ProPlus series wouldn’t be complete without a check valve option. A rotor with a check valve prevents low head drainage and saves water. This is a great solution if your zone is located on a slope or hill.

Changing Out A Nozzle On Your K-Rain 11003

To change out a nozzle first, place the end of the K-Rain key in the lifting keyhole. Then, turn one-quarter turn and pull up the rotor. We’re using a hold-up collar to keep the riser up to make it easier to work on. You don’t have to have a collar to do this. You can use your hand but a collar makes it easier.

Place the end of the key or a small flathead screwdriver in the radius adjustment slot and back out the nozzle retention screw. Unscrew it far enough to get it out of the way of the nozzle, but not so far that it comes out completely because you don’t want to have to look for this tiny screw in the grass. Pull out the nozzle with a pair of needle-nose pliers or pry it out with a screwdriver. Insert the nozzle of your choice into the nozzle socket.

The little tab on the nozzle goes up. When you push in the nozzle, it’ll go down at about a 45-degree angle. Now, screw back down the nozzle retention screw. Let the rotor riser back down. Now that we’ve started the water I’m going to adjust the watering distance with the rotor tool by turning the nozzle retention screw. You want the water from this rotor to reach the next rotor head over. That’s called head-to-head coverage.

Now I’m going to change the arc of the rotor from 90 degrees to 180. You can check your pattern by turning the turret back and forth without worrying if it will mess up your settings. And that is the K-Rain Pro Plus rotor. It will do you a fantastic job.
